On Thursday, April 16, Lower Dauphin held their Special Olympics event on their high school track field.
Lower Dauphin student volunteers work with a child who has disabilities, creating a fun and competitive environment.
This event included yard games, like cornhole, face painting, races, and gaga ball. Each student made their buddy’s day so special creating an experience to last a lifetime.
Mckenna Vandernick, sophomore, says, “Getting to work with all the kids and giving them the best opportunity that I can to have a good day.”
Ädelina Rodriguez, junior, says, “Helping the kids and making sure they have fun during it.
