On Wednesday, September 17, the Lower Dauphin Falcon freshman football team faced Greencastle Blue Devils at the Lower Dauphin Middle School.
Some freshmen on the team predicted a win.
Cash Andrews says, “I think we’re gonna go 14 and 7 and I think we’re gonna come home with the win.”
LJ Snavely follows up that comment by predicting a score of 28-14.
By halftime, the Falcons were down 18-0. The second quarter ended with an interception by Ryder Fink, making it to the 50-yard line. Christos Politsopoulos had a good kick return, and Wyatt Podrasky had a 12-yard run.
The game ended with a 24-0 score.
Melvin Perez was interviewed after the game. Here is what he thought the team could have done better.
“The line could’ve blocked better, and we could have been more aggressive. In general we could have cared more, and showed more discipline.”
Stay tuned next Tuesday for their game against Shippensburg.
