Beautiful Music
Music is one of the best forms of art. It can convey emotion in ways that allow you to feel and experience it like nothing else. However, beautiful music is one of the most challenging things to accomplish.
The criteria for beautiful music are a large task: provoke thought and emotion that can personally connect the listener to the music. Since beautiful music is personal, it is subjective. Every person’s “beautiful music” will most likely be unique.
The main component of making beautiful music is songwriting. For an artist to personally connect with a listener, the lyrics have to be heartfelt. If the lyrics aren’t sincere, they won’t connect personally with the listener. A perfect example of this is “Emails I Can’t Send” by Sabrina Carpenter. This song explores her relationship with her dad after he cheated on Sabrina’s mom. It also shows that she blames him for some of the problems she has in her life, including trust issues.
The artist could also use instrumentals to reach you personally. In Lizzy McAlpine’s song, “Soccer Practice,” the lyrics end, but the instrumental continues. This creates a moment for the listener to soak up the song and really process the deep lyrics and meaning. It serves as a harmonious reflection period and allows you to take your time and savor the track before it ends.
Timmy Morris says, “My definition of Beautiful music is vibrant and clear. Something that hits you in a way.”
Ultimately, every beautiful song has a different lyric and melody, as beauty and music are subjective.
