The new movie, “Wicked: For Good” comes to theaters November 21, 2025, “Wicked: For Good” is the second movie in the sequel of the “Wicked” movies.The two movies trail off of the story of the “Wizard of Oz.”

“Wicked: For Good” features Ariana Grande as Glinda, Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba, and Jonathan Bailey as Prince Fiyero. A movie that has been called “A masterpiece” by critics.

“Wicked” is the prequel to the “Wizard of Oz,” which tells the backstory of the Wicked Witch of the West (Elphaba). “Wicked” focuses on the adventures of Glinda and Elphaba throughout the challenges of their friendship, leading up to Dorothy arriving in the Emerald City.

“Wicked” was originally a Broadway musical based off of the story “The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West” by Gregory Maguire. The musical includes songs you know and probably love, like “Popular,” “The Wizard and I” and “Dancing Through Life.” 

“I am very excited to watch ‘Wicked’ on Sunday with my friend Eden! I’m most excited to hear Cynthia sing ‘No Good Deed’,” says sophomore Emily Hoffman.

“I’m very excited to see the second half of ‘Wicked.’ I was listening to the music since I was a toddler because my mama raised me right,” says sophomore Eden Martin.
