Kutztown field hockey took down Millersville field hockey in a 2-1 overtime battle on Wednesday September 24th.
Many of our school alumni play for either of these teams. Currently there are three players between both teams that are alumni. These players are Cali Mease for Millersville. And then Lexy Hengst and Emma Yeager for Kutztown.
Kutztown and Millersville played a hard fought game, but overall it was the Kutztown Golden Bears that took the overtime win.
Grace Lindsay, a senior, and future Kutztown player says, “It was a very competitive game and high paced. I am so excited to go to school, play with the team, and be a part of the atmosphere.”
The overtime goal came in the 63rd minute of competition.
Mrs. Mease, a teacher, and mom of Cali Mease says, “It was an intensely played game by both sides. It was anyone’s game in overtime.”
