“All American” has been a well-performing project created by the Netflix franchise since it came out in 2018.
“All American” is a blend of social issues, personal struggles and sports drama all in one. Spencer James, the main character in the series, has been exploring his own identity throughout the show, and it is not expected to be any different in season seven.
“Spencer and how he has worked through hardships in his life is really inspiring. What he goes through is so real and I think It’s important to see someone battle through those hardships, especially since the show is based on a true story,” said junior Elise Farling.
Another part of the series that always seems to be touched on in every season is real-world issues. From social injustice to mental health, the show draws current events into the episodes to keep viewers engaged.
“I haven’t gotten through all of the seasons yet, but I’m sure the new one will be good. I’m not sure when I will get through it though,” said junior Evelyn Houser.
“I haven’t watched the show since the last season came out, but every time there is a new season I’m done with it in a weekend,” said junior Olivia Mahler.
Season seven of “All American” is set to be released May 13th on Netflix.
