Over the past 3 weeks, Indio, California has been blessed by hundreds of artists on the stages of Coachella and Stagecoach. Crazy things happened off stage as well – who ever thought $17 lemonade would sell or people would really want to eat a 150 dollar burger? So, from Lady Gaga’s Mayhem set to Guy Fieri’s Smokehouse, here are some of the highlights from 2025 Stagecoach and Coachella.
Guest musicians on headlining sets are extremely common at both festivals. This year, Jelly Roll brought out MGK, Shaboozey, and Alex Warren, while Luke Combs brought out country legend, Garth Brooks. Other great collaborations included Charli XCX, Lorde, Billie Eilish, and Troye Sivian along with Paris Hilton featuring Lizzo.
Autumn Parker, sophomore, said, “I like the duo of Jelly Roll and Machine Gun Kelly so I thought it was a cool and great opportunity for the both of them to get better publicity.”
Other groundbreaking sets included Lady Gaga’s Mayhem set, for which she paid the state of California one thousand dollars for every minute she played after midnight. Knowing this, she played until one am both weekends (120k total) because, as many are saying on social media, “Mayhem cannot be contained!”
Now to see these amazing moments, guests had to pay a minimum of $599 just for tickets, with special bundles reaching into the thousands! That does not even include lodging for the night, unless you were to get a really great deal. After this, guests were expected to buy food at the festival (outside food was not allowed in, so what were you supposed to do?) and the food was priced sky high. For only $17, you could buy a singular lemonade, and if you were willing to drop $350 per person, you could enjoy a meal at Nobu’s Omakase located within the Red Bull Mirage with a great view of the Quasar Stage.
Overall, Stagecoach and Coachella had some great moments in their 2025 edition. Hopefully, we can expect the same and have a fun musical experience for years to come–n. No matter how expensive it does end up being in the future.
Mason Rau, sophomore, stated, “Garth Brooks is a country legend and it is great to see him with the artists of this generation and potentially opening up a new world of music to the youth that may not know who he is.”
