The Class of 2025’s senior prom just wrapped up, and reviews are coming in quickly. According to most students, this prom has been their best school dance so far, and here’s why.
Senior class officer Faith Fausnight was in charge of helping with the music selection for the dance, and she created a form for students to fill out. These song requests were reviewed and the result was a culminating playlist that was sent to the professional DJ. At the dance, the DJ made creative remixes–like “Party in the USA” by Miley Cyrus featuring the iconic beat from Britney Spears’s “Oops! I Did It Again.” The DJ earned overwhelmingly positive feedback from the crowd.
Senior Virginia Huntzinger says, “I definitely thought the music was better than at last year’s prom. The Journey and ABBA trap remixes still haunt me in my nightmares.”
The food served at prom, catered by the Hershey Lodge, also seemed to exceed expectations. Students were able to choose from a buffet with plenty of options–Caesar salad, penne pasta, baked ziti, meatballs, Caprese salad, roasted green beans, and more.
A unique new addition at this year’s prom was the Bloom Bar: a large selection of flowers from which guests could create their own custom bouquet for free. The Bloom Bar was set up near the photo stations, which included a polaroid camera, huge backdrop, and more classic-style photo booth with a ring light.
Senior Tessa Reese says, “I absolutely loved the activities at prom. The bloom bouquet, photo booth, and polaroid station were amazing!”
