With five minutes left in Monday’s game between Lower Dauphin and Central Dauphin, the Falcon fans still believed there could be an upset. The student section and parents getting pumped up with every point. 

After trailing in the first two quarters, Lower Dauphin’s Ethan Miller scored twice in the third quarter to almost tie up the game with a score of 5-4. Even after the slight comeback, Lower Dauphin was not able to pull through to win the game against the Rams, the only team to beat Lower Dauphin so far this season. 

“Our Goalie is one of the best in the league and we didn’t give him any chance,” said assistant captain Brady Coonelly.

In the first period Lower Dauphin scored two points by player Ethan Miller and Central Dauphin scored two points from players Javion Drupp and Grant Novinger. With a score of 2-2 the game went into the second period with a tie. 

In the second period there were no points scored by the Falcons but three points were scored by  William Hershey, Gavin Scott and Benjamin Smith for the Rams. 

In the third period there were two more goals scored by Miller with assists from Ethan Coots, Jack Mimnagh and Jack Cranston. Lower Dauphin came back to almost tie the game and go into overtime, but it was not enough. 

In the end, Central Dauphin got the win to remain undefeated in their season. 

Lower Dauphin’s record is now eight wins and two losses (8-2).
