According to Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports, Bird is re-signing with Seattle for what will be her 18th season. The 40 year-old guard has won four titles with the franchise, including her most recent championship in 2020.

The 11-time All-Star had struggled to start off the 2020 campaign, averaging only 9.8 points per game, her career low (Jenna Ciccotelli of Bleacher Report).

Bird got her rhythm back in the WNBA Finals, with 16 assists in Game One and a double-double in Game Two (Ciccotelli).

With teammate Alysha Clark leaving Seattle, the Storm will need to count on a great season from Bird to help carry them towards another title.
