As time goes on, we people as a growing population continue to affect the environment, and you may be asking yourself what you can do to help.

Global warming is the increase of the Earth’s average surface temperature due to the build-up of greenhouse gasses in the atmosphere, commonly confused with climate change, which is a much broader term that refers to long-term changes in climate, including temperature and precipitation.

That being said, temperatures are still rising on Earth, at about 1.5 degrees Celsius over the last few years. Glaciers melting, abnormal seasonal changes, flooding, and erosion are all due to global warming.

The only ones to be blamed for this issue are humans. By pollution, deforestation and an increase of population, we have slowly been increasing the levels of gasses in the atmosphere such as carbon dioxide and other pollutants.

The main question stemming from this, is what can we as humans do to help? You could start with small steps, like:

  • Driving less
  • Recycling more
  • Avoiding products with a lot of packaging
  • Using renewable energy in your home
  • Not wasting the food you buy

Spread awareness about global warming and climate change, because by doing this you are informing others of the problems that are affecting us. The small things that you contribute to helping the environment will save the Earth in the long run.
