Over $90,000 all For The Kids

On Saturday May, 15th from 9AM to 7PM Lower Dauphin High School held their annual Mini-Thon. 

Over the course of the day there was Zumba, line dancing, Prom fashion show, Mr. Mini-Thon, Cornhole, a bull ride, a blow up obstacle course and food. Zumba was run by students, Ezra and Eliyah Bulgrien’s mother and neighbor. The line dancing was led by the social interactions committee.

Some fun competitions students competed in included sports like volleyball, spike ball, corn hole, etc, prom fashion show, and falcon idol. The winner of falcon idol, Dylan Hassinger, sang Perfect by Ed Sheran and the winners of the fashion prom show were Tyson Hofsass and Emily Brubaker. 

Mr. Mini-Thon is a competition between senior males to raise the most money from thon. It also includes a talent and interview part. This year’s winner, raising the most money, was Ethan Peterson.

The final activity of the day was a luminary walk. During this dark, silent walk we honored all family members and friends who are fighting with cancer, survived cancer, or fell to cancer. 

In the end a total of $96,264.10 was raised for the kids.
