Julie Berkheimer is a new staff member here at LD, acting as a secretary for Mr. Hanula in the building’s main office. Her job consists of normal secretary tasks, directing students and visitors to the correct location, lots of technology based tasks, and many other important duties.  Prior to coming to LD, Berkheimer worked in another office at a car dealership. Seeking something different from her old position, Berkheimer came to LD believing it to be a great experience for her, along with already having a child in the school district. 

Outside of school, Berkheimer enjoys engaging in natural activities with her family such as hiking and mountain biking. Her favorite food is fettuccine alfredo and her favorite sports team(s) are any of the Pittsburgh based franchises, the Penguins specifically. She also enjoys watching movies, her favorites being “Dumb and Dumber” and “Step Brothers.” 

Berkheimer’s favorite part of the school so far is how friendly everyone around her has been, stating that she’s yet to have a negative experience. “I’m happy… I like it, I like it a lot.” Moving forward, Berkheimer is excited to better learn about the school and the people in it, hoping to have a positive experience during her time here.
