Should animal testing be illegal?

Should animal testing be illegal? There can be many opinions based on this topic, but do many know the facts behind animal testing. The U.S started animal testing back in 1938 and started off as being used to test cosmetic products. However, nowadays the brands of cosmetic products are choosing either to do animal testing or not and they are also printed on their products. In spite of that, the types of animals used for this testing are mice, frogs, dogs, rabbits, and birds, yet many don’t know that every second in the United States, an animal is dead from the effects of the testing. Meaning that only 3% is most likely for an animal to survive the testing.  Humans and animals’ bodies aren’t the same, they both are living things, but don’t have the same effects as humans or animals. Although, the U.S Environmental Protection Agency has been trying to put a stop to animal testing by reducing it more by 2025 and completely ending it by 2035. Here are some companies that do permit animal testing: Aquaphor, Arm & Hammer, Aveeno, Axe, Bath & Body Works, Biore, Calvin Klein, CeraVe, Chanel, Cetaphil, and more. On another hand, there are companies that do not do animal testing: Boscia, Burt’s Bees, Covergirl, EOS, Garnier, Marc Jacobs Beauty, St. Ives, and Ulta Beauty.
