Mardi Gras

Ellie R.

Mardi Gras is a carnival celebration on the Tuesday before Ash Wednesday. It is a Christian holiday, also known as fat Tuesday. Due to Covid-19 it is being advised that everyone should stay away from all Mardi celebrations. While many large celebrations such as the parade in New Orleans’s has been canceled, they are still planning on holding activities and other typical Mardi Gras celebrations. With recent spikes in Covid-19 cases all over the U.S still recovering from pervious holidays it is being advised for many to avoid the large festivals and celebrations to avoid another potential spike in cases. While this celebration is huge all a crossed the U.S and many are disappointed about the decline in big celebration many people are finding ways to celebrate without disrupting Covid regulations.
