Dutch Apple Dinner Theatre in Lancaster, PA is putting on a production of “A Chorus Line!”

“A Chorus Line” is a dance heavy musical, which captures the stresses of the performance life, especially in auditions. In “A Chorus Line” a group of dancers reveals the stories of their personal struggles in order to be considered for a new Broadway show.

The original Broadway production of “A Chorus Line” opened July 25, 1975 and closed on April 28, 1990 after 6,137 runs in the Shubert Theatre. “A Chorus Line” at the time was the longest running Broadway Musical.

The musical had a big impact on people. It is a musical which resonates with performers and offers them a voice. The musical has also changed how audiences view the choral members of a show, as the musical highlights the “background” dancers.
