On Apr. 26, Jimmy Butler led the eighth seeded Miami Heat to a first round win over one seeded Giannis Antetokounmpo and his Milwaukee Bucks.

In game one, Antetokounmpo got hurt early which gave the Heat a huge advantage and only had 6 points before exiting the game with a lower back contusion. The Heat won every quarter besides the fourth, only scoring one less point than the Bucks. Miami took game one with the score of 130-117. Butler had 35 points and 11 assists and Bam Adebayo added 22 points, nine rebounds and seven assists.

Game two was a whole different game than the first, even though the Bucks did not have the former MVP, Antetokounmpo, they took the game from the beginning and never looked back. Milwaukee had seven players with double digits in points. The Bucks took game two to tie the series up at 1-1.

Game three, with Antetokounmpo still being out, the Heat took advantage of that. The Heat took this game with a great shooting performance. Miami shot 48% from behind the arc making 16 threes. They also shot an impressive 53% from the field. The Heat also played great defense holding the Bucks under less than 100 points and racking up four blocks and thirteen steals.

Unlike the past games, this game was close. Giannis Antetokounmpo was back from his injury so this was going to be a challenge for the Heat. The Bucks had the lead all the way until the fourth quarter. Jimmy Butler scored an incredible 56 points to lead the Heat to a late game comeback. Butler went bizarre in the final quarter scoring 21 of his team’s 41 points. The Heat won game four 119-114. Miami is now looking for one win to upset the one seeded Bucks.

Game five was a must watch. It was an overtime thriller where the Heat came back in the fourth quarter once again but this time to bring it to overtime. The last possession in overtime, the Bucks passed the ball to Grayson Allen who failed to get off the game tying shot. Butler once again led the Heat with 42 points to a two point win in the final game of this series.

The eight-seeded Heat will look forward to playing the fifth seeded New York Knicks who also defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers in a five game series.
