Chicago born rapper LUCKI has recently released his fifth album in the last three years, being his sophomore studio album. “FLAWLESS LIKE ME” is on track to be the 26 year-old rappers best-performing album so far, selling 25k copies in the first week, along with charting at #12 on the Billboard Hot 200. Fans held high expectations for this album following his 2021 collaborative album with producer F1LTHY who has produced for the likes of Playboi Carti and Yeat, along with many others. It is safe to say, LUCKI delivered upon expectations, with guest features from both Future and Babyface Ray. LUCKI’s signature low energy and sleepy delivery mixed with the spacy, droning horn instrumentation he chose to rap over on this album help to accentuate the most enjoyable elements of his music. My personal favorite tracks are KAPITOL DENIM (ft. Future), COINCIDENCE, WHITE HOUSE (feat. Babyface Ray), 13, and VVS KEYSKI. If LUCKI continues to incorporate these new additions to his already recognizable sound, I believe he can reach new heights beyond what he’s already achieved in his 10+ year career in the music industry.
