Last year, LD faced York Suburban in the District 3 Championship game. Despite being a very back-and-forth game, LD claimed victory in the fifth set, with a game-winning kill making it 18-16.

Last night, it was a much easier route for the Falcons. They controlled every set, sweeping York Suburban 3-0 and winning their second-consecutive District Championship against the Trojans.

As a result of their impressive performances, the Falcons are ranked seventh in the entire Northeastern Region, per USAToday.

LD will move on to the PIAA State Playoffs where they look to win their second-straight State Championship.

Players shared their thoughts after the impressive victory.

“It was a great feeling and something I won’t forget. It was amazing to go to back-to-back. ” —Sophomore Connor Roth

“[It is] kind of surreal. You just don’t realize how good of a program you are until you win. Mach is the hardest working coach I’ve ever had and puts us in the position to win. It is, and will be, one of my best moments experiencing a championship with these boys and this team. I’m truly blessed.” —Sophomore Arun Gopinath
