The Chicago Cubs have reportedly agreed to a one year, $7 million deal with former Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Joc Pederson, per Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic.

Pederson was initially traded before the start of the 2020 MLB campaign, but the deal with the Los Angeles Angels was called off in February of 2020.

As the Dodgers won a World Series, Pederson struggled to get going and failed to produce like his usual self.

The former All-Star and Home Run Derby champion will get a new opportunity to prove his abilities on a Cubs team with many other dangerous sluggers.

This signing has lots of potential to be a high reward signing if Pederson does return to his All-Star form.
