This most recent season has been highly disappointing for Chelsea as they end the season without a trophy. Even after spending around £500 million pounds ($621 million), the Lions will not continue in the tournament. As for Real Madrid though, they advance to the semifinals of the Champions League, where they will most likely play Manchester City, as they lead 3-0 on Bayern Munich with one leg left to play.

Chelsea is currently sitting 11th in the premier league, losing three of their last five games, and tying the two others. Their current record is 10-9-12, with ten wins, nine ties, and 12 losses. Hopes were high for this team as new signings showed a promising season, but that was the complete opposite.

The expectations are high for this Chelsea squad, and hopefully, they can live up to them.
