For many Americans, the McDonald’s Happy Meal is extremely memorable. Adults often reflect on the nostalgic feeling of opening a Happy Meal box and finding out which toy they received. As of October 3rd, adults now have the opportunity to relive their childhood with the brand new adult Happy Meal.

Adult-sized Happy Meals were launched on Monday, October 3rd and have been trending all over social media. The signature box has a different look to it due to the fast food chain’s collaboration with the fashion label Cactus Plant Flea Market (CPFM). As for the meal itself, the miniature cheeseburger and bag of fries is nowhere to be found. Instead, customers can choose between a Big Mac or 10-piece nuggets along with medium fries and a drink.

Despite this meal being marketed towards adults, McDonald’s couldn’t resist including a toy. A Happy Meal wouldn’t be complete without one, after all! CPFM designed four collectible figures to include in the adult Happy Meals. The lineup contains the classic McDonald’s characters — Birdie, Grimace, and the Hamburglar — as well as “Cactus Buddy!,” a character inspired by one of the fashion label’s graphics.

This new addition to the McDonald’s menu will undoubtedly spark a sense of nostalgia for adults who grew up with the iconic Happy Meal. It will certainly be interesting to find out whether or not adult Happy Meals will be successful.
