The people of GLAMOUR wanted to put the myth about the gender pay gap to rest so they conducted an experiment in honor of their annual Salary Survey. On December 12th they had 12 people willing to openly discuss and share their salary come to their office. GLAMOUR then made six pairs each pair consisting of a male and a female who had similar jobs and similar experience. All but one of the pairs had the same result, that result being that the woman was paid significantly less. One of the most shocking results was a 46 year old woman named Rose who had, had several years more experience than her 35 year old partner, Danilo made over $44,000 dollars less a year. The pairing in which the woman made more money was a man working at a cafe who made $11 an hour and a woman who needed a flexible job because she is going to school for her M.B.A. who made $12 an hour. This experiment took real people with real jobs and put the gender pay-gap to the test leaving the results open-ended for each reader to make their own conclusion.
